The internal spring drive of this handpiece is protected by an external spring cover providing extra flexibility for precise control when etching. This internal spring is designed to break if excess tension is placed on the tool, therefore preventing any damage to the motor and/or handpiece. We stock these replaceable internal springs (#76) which can be installed by the user.
